Our Mission

My husband and I moved to Charlton All Saints in 2015, with our ‘blended and extended’ family of six children and have enjoyed being part of the community ever since.

Our mission is to create a safe, peaceful and nourishing space for people to gather as a community and to allow us to extend my private mental health practice. I established a Community Interest Company; One Life Trust CIC, in 2021, to enable more people to access my psychotherapy support as a group, lowering cost and increasing availability to those unable to afford the costs of private therapy support.

After my formal academic training in Psychology (BSc Hons Psych MBPS) I joined the NHS at Chelsea & Westminster Hospital, seeing first-hand the demands on the NHS in providing mental health services.

I was asked to set up a new education project for Camden Jobtrain Charity, to provide vocational education in horticulture, animal care and life skills for young people with additional needs. Over the next three years we were able to support 150 young people to gain confidence, social skills, responsibility, animal care, horticulture and life skills.

I was profoundly impacted by the transformation of these young people as a result of having supportive mentoring and discovering a love of the natural world.

When people learn healthier ways of relating, gain a sense of belonging and a connection to nature, away from the stresses of our modern technological world, the ripple effect is profound. Once people are given chances to experience peaceful times of a quiet mind, where their whole body, mind and heart are engaged in something purposeful, they discover that well being is always available to them and then take responsibility for how they engage with life.
